Help shape the integrity of a global qualification brand
At WSET, we believe in the power of knowledge to open doors, build careers and elevate the global drinks industry — from producer to consumer.
As the world’s leading provider of qualifications in wine, spirits, beer and sake, we deliver over 140,000 exams each year across more than 70 countries. Behind that reach is something critical: trust. Trust in the quality of our qualifications, the consistency of our delivery, and the integrity of our global network.
This is where you come in.
As Governance Advisor – APAC, you’ll play a central role in safeguarding what makes WSET respected worldwide. Working across a diverse and fast-growing region, you’ll partner with colleagues and Approved Programme Providers (APPs) to ensure our standards are not only met — but continually strengthened.
This is a role for someone who combines rigour with curiosity, and who takes pride in getting the detail right while never losing sight of the bigger picture.
What you’ll be part of
You’ll join a global Governance team working across Hong Kong, Shanghai, London and beyond — helping to:
Deliver APP visits, audits and approvals, both remotely and in person
Guide partners through compliance, resolving issues with care and clarity
Strengthen and evolve our quality assurance processes and systems
Support onboarding and renewal of APPs across the region
Collaborate internationally on regulation, risk and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
You’re someone who is as comfortable analysing detail as you are building trusted relationships.
Experience in quality, compliance, education or risk environments
A highly organised, accountable approach with strong attention to detail
Confidence working across cultures with empathy and professionalism
Fluency in English and Chinese (additional languages are a bonus)
A mindset that combines curiosity, adaptability and a drive to improve
Life at WSET
We are proud to be a truly global organisation, with colleagues across the UK, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Australia, Canada and the USA.
Our culture is grounded in curiosity, collaboration and empathy. We are a place where people are encouraged to keep learning, challenge thinking and contribute to something bigger than themselves.
You’ll also benefit from:
Flexible, hybrid ways of working
WSET course sponsorship and continuous learning opportunities
Competitive salary and medical cover
A supportive, inclusive environment where people can thrive
A culture of growth
We know that great candidates don’t always meet every requirement. If you bring a growth mindset, transferable skills and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, we encourage you to apply.
At WSET, we value potential just as much as experience — alongside a deep commitment to delivering an exceptional learner and partner experience.
This is more than a governance role. It’s an opportunity to help protect and shape a global standard — and to do so in an organisation that values integrity, curiosity and people.
If that resonates, we’d love to hear from you.
